11:20pm--#Stratford CT-- Today's vehicle fire was a the Stratford Hotel (the old Ramada) on Lordship Boulevard. A box truck was on fire on the side of the building. Smoke was entering the hotel and causing alarms to go off. Bridgeport Firefighters provided mutual aid. This report sponsored by:
On 08-21-2015 Justin McCabe age 31 of Stratford was arrested at his home by patrol officers for several charges after responding to a report of shots fired. McCabe who lives at 135 Lincoln Street was reportedly intoxicated when he fired several rounds into the ground in the back yard of his residence. McCabe initially lied to officers as to his involvement but investigation and statements by witnesses helped prove otherwise. McCabe was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A total of three handguns were seized as evidence. McCabe was charged with: Unlawful Discharge Of A Firearm, Possession Of A Loaded Firearm While Intoxicated, Interfering With An Officer, Breach Of Peace 2nd and Reckless Endangerment. #Stratford CT--Early Tuesday morning at 2:30am Stratford Police were dispatched to a home on Birdseye Street for a report of a home invasion. The victims reported that male suspects entered the rear yard and pistol whipped two people on the outside deck and forcing them inside the home. Once inside the pistol whipped two more people and held them at gunpoint. The other suspect then ransacked the home removing jewelry, money and electronics and then fled. The Stratford Detective Bureau arrived on scene to follow up on leads. Two suspects were located at the local hotel at 360 Honeyspot Road and an apprehended by the detectives and police patrol.
