UPDATE: Only one victim, a twenty four year old woman was shot in the ankle.  There was no second victim. 10:06pm--#Bridgeport CT--A drive by shooting sends two to St. Vincent's Hospital. A gray Ford Taurus with four males in the car started shooting at a group of people on near Trumbull Gardens. Victims were dropped off by private vehicles. Police are investigating. Bridgeport News: Busted Hydrant Makes State Street a Mess

State Street near Bassick Avenue was quite the mess today when a truck took out a fire hydrant. Hydrants in the northeast are “dry hydrants” that is water shut off is below the ground so they will not freeze during the cold weather. The truck hit they hydrant just right snapping it below the ground at the water main. State Street remains closed while crews make repairs. Bridgeport Detectives Investigate Early Morning Shooting

#Bridgeport, CT -- Sept. 2, 2014 -- A city man was shot early this morning in the area of Central Avenue and Williston Street.The injuries are non life threatening.Detectives responded to the scene and determined that the victim, Kamora King, 31, arrived home to his Beardsley Street residence shortly before 4:30 a.m. suffering  from multiple gunshot wounds. His wife called 911 and he was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.Detectives were able to determine the location of the shooting. The circumstances remain under investigation. Intruder Sexually Assaults Sacred Heart Student

2019-07-12--UPDATE:   Edibaldo “Eddie” Duran  fled to his native Mexico.  Police said Duran had entered the U.S. illegally from Mexico and during a previous encounter with officers had produced a counterfeit Mexican passport.  Duran was arrested by U.S. Marshal Service in Puebla, Mexico.   Friday, a judge sentenced Duran to 20 years and then he will be deported back to Mexico.   @sacredheartuniv --EXCLUSIVE VIDEO REPORT:  Just after 5am Fairfield Police received a call of a sexual assault that took place in their town in the 200 block of Berkley Road.
