Bridgeport Detectives Investigate Overnight Shooting

(Bridgeport, CT -- Aug. 30, 2014) -- Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened in the Marina Village housing complex early today.Police responded  to the area of 380 Iranistan Ave. at about 2:30 a.m. near Building 22.The victim, identified as Eugene Williams, 48, of Bridgeport, suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he underwent surgery.The investigation remains in its early stages. Based on initial witness accounts, police are seeking at least two suspects. Bridgeport News: Stabbing During Robbery

10:56pm--#Bridgeport CT--A man was robbed in the 100 block of Union Avenue.  The victim was stabbed in the legs but the victim was able to stab the suspect in the arm. The suspect then fled.  Police put the hospitals on alert and sure enough the suspect showed up at Bridgeport Hospital where he was awarded a pair of silver bracelets after being treated. Man Wanted For Questioning By Secret Service

#Fairfield CT--  Earlier today around 4pm police departments across the state received a 'Be On The Look Out"(BOLO) for a person wanted by the Secret Service.  While I worked the local connection to this story other media sources contacted Connecticut State Police confirming the man was wanted in connection to threats made to the President of the United States.  President Obama was in Rhode Island and Westchester County fundraising today. I played back the police radio dispatches which I record and this is what I have pieced together: At 4:10pm  the first BOLO was made to local police that Secret Service was looking for a Gray (later changed to blue) Volkswagen Jetta with Connecticut Plates 445ZE.  The man's cellphone was…

4:16pm--#Fairfield CT--A "Be On The Look Out" *(BOLO) for vehicle with Connecticut Plates wanted  by Secret Service in a possible threat to President Obama who was in Rhode Island and Westcheter County for fundraising.  There was a "ping" that the car was in Fairfield but has since left the area.   We are withholding the specifics and delayed this report for obvious reasons.  Fairfield Police have stand down from the alert after it left their jurisdiction.
