Bridgeport News: Firefighters Remain Busy

2:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters called for a structure fire at 1810 Stratford Avenue.  They have just arrived on scene, reporting there is nothing visible from the street but an alarm is going off.  They are checking it out, now reporting there was a fire on the third floor, the sprinklers went off and flooded the second floor.  UPDATE: Firefighters are still fighting the fire according to latest radio transmission.  UPDATE: Police called for a tenant that was acting suspiciously. Bridgeport News: Fire Strikes Remington Arms….Again

#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters from surrounding town assisted Bridgeport Firefighters in attacking the quarterly blaze at the Remington Buildings on Barnum Avenue. Viewers from as far away as Ansonia reported to be able to see the smoke. Firefighters had the majority of the fire knocked down before 1pm but shortly after the fire had jumped to a multi-family home at 101 Helen Street. Firefighters from Stratford Fairfield assisted in putting that one out. The fire is suspicious and the fire marshal was quickly called to the scene. 10:09am--#Westport CT--  Just after 10am the TD Bank on the Post Road East at Greens Farm was robbed at gunpoint and the two suspect fled onto the Merritt Parkway towards Norwalk going the wrong way.  They caused two accidents before crashing into a guard rail near Newtown Circle at the Westport Norwalk line.   One suspect was quickly taken into custody.  K-9 from Norwalk helped track and apprhend the second suspect.
