Fire in Bridgeport may be connected to homicide
Just as the 11pm news was coming on the TV a call for a large fire at the corner Park Avenue and Worth Street glared from the scanner. Fire department had multiple calls coming in. As I sped off to the scene Greg Simeon was springing into action too as he noticed the flames on the third floor. He rushed to the house and began banging on doors alerting sleeping residents of the fire and helping them escape. The hardest for Greg was seeing a mother with her infant child across the room filled with acrid smoke. Greg helped everyone get out.
