Suicide Attempt Outside The ER
9:39pm–Police intervened when a woman who was in a car parked outside the Emergency Room at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was with her mother and she refused to get out of the car and attempted to take her life, method unknown. Police were able to talk her out of taking her life and got her out of the car an to help.
Face Slashed
9:29pm–#Bridgeport CT–Man was had his faced slashed while on Norman Street. Police are investigating, not a lot of info on this. He was taken to the hospital by EMS.
Tonight’s Car Fire
9:22pm–#Bridgeport CT–Tonight’s car fire was in the parking lot behind the Shehan Center at 1494 Main St. Firefighters quickly extinguished it and police are investigating.

Fundraiser To Benefit the City’s Safe Asleep Program.
Please help Fire Engine Pizza Co located at 2914 Fairfield Ave in conjunction with the Denis Leary Firefighters Foundation raise money for the City’s Safe Asleep free smoke detector installation program that has been credited for saving lives throughout the city.
There will be fire trucks, raffles, food specials, and giveaways. Let’s kick off the holiday weekend with a party with a cause. This runs TODAY starting at 6pm

Camper Fire Quickly Extinguished
11:40pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire in a camper parked in side lot at 430 Park Street.
Some Gunmakers Say They Won’t Sell To N.Y. Police
” If civilians can’t buy a semi-automatic weapon, then the company won’t sell to law enforcement”
ALBANY, N.Y. — Some gun manufacturers say they will no longer sell their firearms to New York law enforcement agencies after the state passed a broad assault-weapons ban last month. At least five companies have said they won’t sell to New York police since Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the Safe Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act in January. Odor in Westport Unfounded
7:22pm–#Westport CT–Firefighters were called to 365 Post Road West which is near the Norwalk town line for a strong odor of ammonia according the caller. Firefighters thoroughly checked the are including businesses but found nothing.
