#Stratford CT--On Wednesday night, Stratford Police said they were called to Nichols and North Avenues for a car accident. Police said Barrett had been driving his 12-year-old daughter, who was in a Halloween costume, around the neighborhood so that she could go trick or treating when he struck a car driven by a woman who was doing the same thing with her children. Police said Barrett smelled strongly of alcohol and admitted he had six drinks. They said he was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. His daughter was turned over to a relative. 11:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man and a woman were shot on Maplewood Avenue near Howard Avenue. This is breaking news and there isn't a lot of info right now but witnesses told me they heard about ten shots fired. When I arrived a man was already in the ambulance and appeared to be unresponsive. Witnesses said the woman was leaning against a building but was already transported when I arrived. Witnesses did not see the shots fired but Maplewood Avenue had a number of shell casings in the middle of the road.
