2:38pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A school bus and car collided on Park Avenue near Maplewood Avenue. There were school children on board but none were injured. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Radio reports say he may allegedly be under the influence from witness reports. This was the third school bus accident I've reported on in the last five days.

3:29pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A school bus and car collided on Warren Street near South Frontage Road. Witnesses told me the driver allegedly said he was texting when the accident occurred. There were no injuries to the driver or students onboard.
12:00PMish-- #Bridgeport CT-- An alert Bridgeport Police Patrol Officer recognized a car wanted in a shooting at Trumbull Gardens earlier. He was able to pull the car over on Old Town Road prior to the Route 8 entrance. He held four masked men at gunpoint until backup arrived including mutual aid from Trumbull. The car was confirmed stolen and a firearm was recovered. The four were arrested without incident.

9:44pm--#Stratford CT-- Firefighters extinguished a fire in the dumpster behind the Paper Store at 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff. This news report is made possible by:
4:00PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- This is what firefighters rolled up to in the 900 block of Lindley Street at Hunting Street. Bridgeport Police was first on the scene and reported to the fire department that everyone was safely out of the home. A primary and secondary search by the firefighters confirmed that. Within 15 minutes of arrival, firefighters had the bulk of the fire out. There were no reported injuries. The fire marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire. 9:44am #Westport CT--The Westport Fire Department responded to a report of a tree worker who had fallen from the bucket of a company’s vehicle. The fire department responded with a Rescue truck, Ladder truck, Fire engine, and the Shift Commander. Additionally, the Westport Police Department and Westport EMS responded. Arriving units found a worker who had fallen from the bucket onto the roof of his truck. The patient sustained injuries from the fall and was treated on-scene by the three responding agencies. The patient was placed in a “stokes basket” and removed from the top of the truck. Westport EMS transported the patient to Norwalk Hospital. The condition of the patient is not known at this time.
