1:36pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man at 515 Park Street was adjusting an aluminum scaffolding when it came in contact with the power line. The man was on the ground making the adjustment. The man was unconscious for a short period of time. He was transported to the hospital. UI has been called to the scene.

11:33am--#Bridgeport CT-- The Bridgeport Firefighters were called to help extricate a woman from her car at a crash on Park Avenue near Queen Street. The woman was taken to the hospital. The other vehicle, a jeep came to a rest at a bench at a bus stop on the Fairfield side. The roadway was closed for a period of time.
Fire Marshal UPDATE: The Bridgeport fire Marshal’s office has concluded its initial investigation of this incident. This was a tragic accident. What appears to have happened is that when the family living at 1248 Lindley St. in Bridgeport lost power as a result of last night’s thunderstorms, and an attempt was made to go to Home Depot to purchase emergency lighting. Home Depot was closed. The family remembered that when they purchased their home two years ago, there were a couple of what they thought were candles left in the basement by the previous residents of the home or homeowners. 10:38pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A woman was carjacked on French Street. Tie-raps and handcuffs found on the scene and the police are investigating a possibility of an attempted kidnapping.
8:45pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A boy called police that his mother had something in her hand that exploded in the 1200 block of Lindley Street (near Summit Street). Reports say it was a firecracker and she might be missing some fingers. This news report is made possible by:
