Bridgeport News: Baby Found Dead In Crib

6:45am- Friday, 4/7--A Sylvan Avenue family is grieving after awaking to finding their 14 month old baby dead. Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says it does not appear to be from SID's (Sudden Infant Death). The chief said that at some time over the night the baby may have attempted to vomited or may have choked on the vomit and passed away. Perez also said there were traces of hot dogs but he doesn't know if that had anything to do with it, that is the role of the chief medical examiner to determine. It is a sad, sad day he said.

6:30pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- The driver of this car didn't have a prayer when he hit the parked pick truck in front of St. Patrick's Church on North Avenue. The driver was injured and transported to the hospital. Southbound traffic is being diverted at this time.

1:11pm---#Bridgeport CT-- A car has hit the Manport Fish and Chips at 1010 North Avenue. The driver was shaken up but no word on what caused the crash. The building inspector has been called to inspect the damage and see if they can reopen, which can be costly for them since it is a Friday during lent and most Catholics are directed not eat meat during lent.

Bridgeport News: Columbus School Evacuated

10:53am–#Bridgeport CT–Just before 11am firefighters were called to Columbus School at 275 George Street for a strange odor in classroom 203. City officials told me six children were taken to Bridgeport Hospital. The children were treated in the hospital but none were admitted. Firefighters were called to the school yesterday as well. Both times firefighters use various meters but no readings were detected. By 12:15 the school was evacuated out of “an abundance of precaution”. The students were bused to Geraldine Johnson School until school dismissal. No word if there will be school at Columbus School at this time. Officials from Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) were on scene after school dismissal to investigate but have not…
