State Police Holiday Stats So Far
MIDDLETOWN, CT (November 25, 2016): The Connecticut State Police are supplementing the normal patrol force with additional State Troopers throughout this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The increased patrols began at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, 11/23/2016, and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday 11/27/2016. Troopers are patrolling the roads and highways across Connecticut focusing on drunken driving violations and aggressive drivers. 8:30PMish-- A viewer sent in these photos of the end of a police pursuit at Terrace Circle. The viewer said a young driver was being pursued by police when he lost control of the vehicle striking the apartment complex.
Bridgeport News: Structure Fire
12:02am--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Police were first on the scene at a structure fire at 135 Beach Street. They helped get the get the residence out of the building before firefighters arrived. Some of the police did inhale smoke but no one was treated at the scene. The fire started in the basement and firefighters quickly put it out. The Red Cross was called to help find lodging for three adults according to radio reports.
Bridgeport News: East Sides’ 2nd Shooting In An Hour
UPDATE: Bridgeport Police spokesman said a man was shot in the leg following a robbery at 535 William Street. 11:11pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Police are investigating Bridgeport's East Side's second shooting an hour a part from each other. AMR had already transported the victim when I arrived, detectives were right behind me. They did not have much information at this time. EMS was dispatched to the 500 block of William Street but the cops were looking for casing on Shelton Street. I did email the police spokesperson for any updates on both shootings.
Bridgeport News: Person Shot In Drive By
UPDATE: Police confirm the man was shot in a drive by and driven to the hospital. He was shot in the buttocks and expected to recover. Multiple bullets were found in the 2nd floor of the house. 10:10pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A person was shot in a drive by outside of 405 Jane Street (about a block and a half off East Main Street). The person was driven to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle. Police have located numerous shell casings and a couple of bullet holes on the second floor of 405 Jane Street.
