#Milford CT--On March 12th at 8:46am Troop G-Bridgeport Troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle with New York plates for speeding on I-95 northbound at exit 35 in Milford. The lone male operator was identified as Rueben Abreu (DOB: 10/21/1969) of New York, NY. TFC Jones detected several indicators indicative of narcotics trafficking and requested consent to search the vehicle. To assist with the search, Troop G requested a narcotics detection dog from any local police departments. Officer Wells and his K-9 partner, Jagger, from the Fairfield Police Department responded to assist. A subsequent search by K-9 Jagger yielded a positive “hit” on a case containing four vacuum sealed bricks of suspected cocaine. The bricks were later weighed…

UPDATE: Firefighters and police are evacuating the homes in a block radius according to radio reports. 12:27am--#Bridgeport CT--There was a report of 10-12 shots fired in the Horace/York Street area. So far the only thing hit was a propane tank on Cogswell Street, firefighters on the way. No reports of anyone being hit, all hospitals have been checked. 11:26pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A crash with a car on it's side on Bankside Road (off Rooster River Blvd near Madison Avenue). No word on injuries. This report is made possible by:
10:11pm--#Westport Connecticut--Firefighters were called to a commercial fire at 38 Post Road East which houses HSBC Bank and Starbucks. Witnesses said the flames were shooting from the left side of the roof. Firefighters quick response kept the fire from spreading. They are checking to see if the fire extended inside into any of the businesses.
8:22pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were called to 65 Goodsell Street for a fire in an abandoned, boarded up house. There was fire on the right side of the house with fire on the first and second floor. The windows and doors were boarded up which delayed their entry into the building. Once entry was gained the fire was quickly put out. The fire marshal was called to the scene. There were no reported injuries.
