#Westport CT–On 03/19/17 at approximately 4:30am, Westport Officers responded to 1510 Post Road East, the Exxon Gas Station, on a report of a 911 hang up call. Westport Officer David Perez located a Allens Vardier in the store and immediately took him into custody. Officers learned that Vardier came into the store demanding to buy a single cigarette. When the clerk advised Vardier that they do not sell single cigarettes, Vardier went behind the counter and began assaulting the clerk. Vardier then assaulted an elderly male in the store who was attempting to call 911. Vardier appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. A brown leafy substance was located on Vardier which tested positive for PCP. Based on this, Vardier was taken to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation. On 03/20/17 at approximately 11:30am, Vardier was released from the hospital and transported to Westport Police Headquarters where he was processed for the above listed charges.
In October of 2015, Michael Connors issued 2 checks to O & G Industries. The account associated with the checks did not have sufficient funds when the checks were deposited. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for the arrest of Connors for Issuing a Bad Check. On 03/17/17, Westport Officers responded to the Ridgefield Police Department and took Connors into custody. Connors was transported to Westport Police Headquarters where he was processed for the above listed charge. He was released on a Promise to Appear in court on 03/29/17.
#Westport Connecticut–On March 15, 2017 at approximately 11:00 am, Westport Police Department responded to the Greens Farms Railroad Station on a report of suspicious people attempting to make entry into vehicles. While Patrol Officers were responding to the scene, members of the Westport Police Detective Bureau began monitoring the live streaming video from Greens Farms station. Detectives were able to locate the suspects on camera, monitor their activities and update responding units. The first arriving units immediately located two males wearing dark clothing and watched as they attempted to gain entry into at least two different vehicles by lifting or manipulating door handles.
While Patrol was investigating the incident, Detectives were able to positively identify the suspects that patrol was speaking with as those captured on video surveillance. A third suspect was found hiding in a vehicle that they drove to Greens Farms Station. Video surveillance also captured the suspects attempting to steal a vehicle, but retreated as Patrol Officers arrived on scene. As a result of the quick response from Patrol as well as the immediate response from Detectives to pull the available video feeds, the following individuals were arrested and charged:
Oliva, Adelmir (DOB: 06/10/97) of Bronx, NY was charged with the following crimes and held on a $10,000 bond.
o Burglary 3 rd , Larceny 2 nd , Criminal Impersonation, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2 nd , Conspiracy to commit Burglary 3 rd , Criminal Attempt at Burglary 3 rd , Possession of Marijuana
Cabral, Jancarlos (DOB: 07/10/96) of Bronx, NY was charged with the following crimes and held on a $10,000:
o Burglary 3 rd , Larceny 2 nd , Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2 nd , Conspiracy to commit Burglary 3 rd , Criminal Attempt at Burglary 3 rd , The 3 rd suspect was a juvenile who was arrested, charged with the following crimes, and held at Bridgeport Juvenile:
o Burglary 3 rd , Larceny 2 nd , Criminal Impersonation, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2 nd ,
Conspiracy to commit Burglary 3 rd , Criminal Attempt at Burglary 3 rd .
On February 13, 2017 the complainant of this incident responded to Westport Police Headquarters to file a Larceny complaint. The complainant reported that an employee of his was stealing from the store, Cake Box, 10 Bay Street, Westport CT. The complainant said Greg Neil had been the Manager of The Cake Box and was over charging customers who were paying cash and charging customers for items but not entering them into the register. Neil was caught on video surveillance charging customers the proper amount, but entering a smaller amount in the register. Neil refused to explain his actions to the police, so an arrest warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for his arrest. On 03/08/17, Westport Officers responded to Ridgefield PD to retrieve Gregory Neil for the outstanding arrest warrant. Neil was processed for the above listed charge and was given a court date of 03/17/17 in Norwalk. Neil was released on the $500.00 bond.
#Westport Connecticut–In January of 2017, Westport Officers were dispatched to 877 Post Road East, Radio Shack, on a larceny complaint. Officers learned that it was an employee theft. The regional loss prevention manager reported that one of his employees, Courtney Tucker, admitted to stealing mobile phones from the store inventory. Tucker admitted that she stole approximately 10 I-Phones from a period of December 2016 through January 2017. Officers determined the total value of the ten phones amounted to $5,957.59. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for the arrest of Courtney Tucker. On 03/07/17, Tucker responded to the Westport Police Department where she was processed for the outstanding warrant. She was charged with Larceny in the third degree and held in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond.
6:32pm–#Westport Connecticut– Today’s vehicle fire is behind the Parker Mansion at Rvierside and Bridge Street. The car is fully engulfed according to radio reports.

#Westport Connecticut–In June of 2016, the victim of this incident responded to the Westport Police Department to report a trespassing complaint. The victim reported that on 06/14/16, Carrie Owen trespassed on her property. The victim had video footage which clearly shows Owen on her property. Owen was positively identified as the female trespassing on the victim’s property. Owen had previous incidents with the victim, and was advised not to trespass on any property owned by the victim or face arrest. Based on complaint made and the video evidence, a warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for Owen’s arrest. On 03/02/17, Owen was stopped by the Westport Police for a motor vehicle violation. She was taken into custody for the active warrant.
1:02am— UPDATE: The state police were following at a distance not engaged in pursuit but the have lost sight of the car. All updates have ceased, I’m assuming he gave the officers the slip.
12:42am–#cttraffic—State police are attempting to pull over a Porsche with Vermont plates that engaged state police in a pursuit in Stamford. The pursuit is northbound now near exit 19
In October of 2016, Westport Officers responded to a North Avenue address on a report of harassment. The complainant stated that her juvenile child received a Facebook message stating derogatory things about the child’s parent. These messages were received from a Facebook account in Monroe Connecticut. Due to a Protective Order already in place, Meg Hyman was developed as a suspect as she was arrested for similar charges previously. The order specifically says that Margaret E. Hyman is not to contact the protected parties in any manner, including electronic or telephone and not to contact the protected person & home, workplace or others.
Margaret E. Hyman was living in Monroe at the time the messages were sent. Westport Officers and detectives were able to determine that Hyman used her cellular device to login to and send the messages from her father’s Facebook account. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for her arrest. On 03/02/17 at approximately 12:00pm, Hyman turned herself in at Police Headquarters. She was processed for the above listed charges and released on the $10,000.00 bond.
#Westport Connecticut–On 02/28/17 at approximately 1:30am, Officer Thomas Casimiro was running a RADAR detail and observed a vehicle traveling south on the Sherwood Island Connector. The vehicle reached a speed of 96 mph. As the Officer pulled out to stop the suspect vehicle, the suspect turned off all the vehicles lights. The operator did not slow down for the stop sign before making a left hand turn onto the I95 Northbound ramp. While on the ramp the operator cut off
another vehicle nearly running it off of the road. As soon as the operator got onto I-95, he cut over 3 lanes of traffic and nearly crashed into several vehicles. The vehicle was finally stopped on I95. The operator was taken into custody and transported to Police headquarters. He was processed for the above listed charges and has a court date in Norwalk on 03/09/17.
