#WESTPORT, CT — In an effort coordinated with the Your Downtown public outreach campaign, the Westport Library has premiered a new exhibit entitled “Thinking About Westport’s Future Downtown.” It is a visual representation, in the form of panels filled with quotes and “Word Clouds,” of the answers to questions from the Your Downtown Survey and comments made during the Your Downtown Visioning Workshops which took place earlier this summer. The display is located in the Westport Library’s first-floor Riverwalk Hallway and on the staircase leading up to the main floor. Westport CT- The Westport Police were advised by the first Selectman’s Office early this morning that a resident had received an email purportedly from the Town of Westport requesting that he update his credit card information to facilitate online payments made to the town. The resident questioned the validity of the email and an investigation discovered that it was not affiliated in any way with the Town of Westport and appears to be an attempt to obtain Credit Card information from individuals. These type of emails is referred to commonly as a “Phishing email”. At this point police are attempting to locate the origins of the email and are reminding residents that the Town has never and does not request financial or personal information in unsolicited emails.
