Bridgeport News: Teen Shot In Head

3:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--This is an update on an earlier post of a shooting on Norman Street.   Police received a call a group of teens arguing on Norman Street near Atwater Steet.  Soon, shots were fired from a white car.  Initial reports said that the driver of the car accidentally shot the passenger in his car.  Police Chief AJ Perez said the victim, a sixteen-year-old Central High School student was hit in by bullet fragments that entered his shoulder and frontal lobe.  The chief said the shooting started after an argument with other teens in the area.  Police responding to the shooting did not find a victim, but a short time later St. Vincent's Hospital called that they had a gunshot victim.  He was…

Stratford News: Fatal Crash

#Stratford CT--On 09-16-2018 the Stratford Police investigated a serious one-car accident that occurred on Broadbridge Avenue near Success Avenue. The operator and lone occupant of the car were identified as Richard Pugh age 32 of Stratford. Pugh was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Sunday night. During the crash, Pugh was driving his car south on Broadbridge Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway and struck a tree. Investigators are working on determining the cause of the crash.
