Police UPDATE: Before 9:57pm Edilberto Delgado of 28 Park Avenue Bridgeport, CT was operating a red 2001 Honda NSS250 REF motorcycle west on Fairfield Avenue shuffling lanes. When he approached the intersection at Mountain Grove Street it appears he attempted to avoid a dark gray or black Nissan Maxima traveling south on Mountain Grove Street. Mountain Grove Street has a stop sign. The red motorcycle skidded, made contact with the dark colored car, and Delgado was thrown from his motorcycle. The dark colored car fled south on Mountain Grove Street. Dispatch was notified to broadcast possible hit and run vehicle as a dark gray or black Nissan Maxima sedan with possible damage.
