Bridgeport Police UPDATE: On September 3, 2018 shots were fired in the area of Colorado Avenue and Denver Court. As a result of this shooting, one male was struck in the back of the head. The bullet exited his cheek area. This victim fled the scene on foot, was located by patrol officers and transported by medics to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. The victim was last known to be in stable condition. Detectives processed a crime scene last evening and are reviewing video surveillance in the area. 4:05am--Fairfield CT– A phone call from an alarm monitoring company and an eyewitness dialing 911 resulted in an early morning fire department response that saved the majority of a Greenfield Hill residential home from a fire on Old Academy Road early Labor Day morning. A call was placed into the Fairfield Emergency Communications Center reporting a residential fire alarm activation at 04:05 AM. Soon after this first call was received, a second 911 call from a Dunham Road resident was received stating that she could see flames in the woods behind her home. Engine 5, under the command of LT.
