#Bridgeport CT–Serious Crash

#Bridgeport CT--At approximately 10:18 pm Saturday night,  Bridgeport Police Officers responded to a serious three-car motor vehicle accident on Railroad Avenue at its intersection with Myrtle Avenue.  The Bridgeport Fire Department extricated 5 occupants from one of the vehicles.  A total of 11 occupants from the three vehicles were transported to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to critical. Railroad Avenue was re-opened for the normal flow of traffic at 1:30 am after the police accident team investigated.

Flags At Half-Staff To Honor Bridgeport Sailor

HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Monday, October 8, 2018 in honor of U.S. Navy Water Tender 1st Class Stephen Pepe of Bridgeport, who was killed in action in the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and whose remains were recently identified and returned to his family.  A burial with full military honors is being held Monday in Bourne, Massachusetts. Bridgeport News: Man Shot Inside His Home From Outside Gunfire

11:30PMish--# Witnesses said it sounded like automatic gunfire the shots were fired so close together.  The gunfire appeared to be targeting a home in the 500 block of Harral Avenue with bullet holes in the home and cars parked in the driveway.  A man inside the home was hit in the shoulder as the bullets entered the home.  He was transported to the hospital,   Shell casings were found on the driveway behind Greene Homes from Washington Avenue.
