#Stratford CT--Earlier this week The Town of Stratford Waterfront and Harbor Management Commission voted to prohibit fishing at the Sea Wall on Beach Drive in Stratford. The vote came after the careful consideration of health and safety concerns in response to numerous complaints of potentially unsafe conditions related to fishing at the Sea Wall. The prohibition of fishing at the Sea Wall is part of an existing Town Ordinance which prohibits fishing “in any recreational area, except at such places and at such times as may be designated by the Town.” Individuals interested in fishing should avoid areas designed for swimming, bathing or pedestrian traffic. Traffic Advisory for 2018 Fine Arts Festival

The 2018 Fine Arts Festival will be taking place this coming weekend (July 14 – 15) in the center of Westport. To accommodate the vendors and assure the safety of the pedestrians the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the festival: Main Street (from Post Rd. E. to Avery Place); Elm Street (from The Baldwin Lot to Main Street); Church Lane (from Elm Street to Post Road East); and Taylor Place. Bridgeport News: Ground Breaking For Amphitheater

#Bridgeport CT-- Ground breaking for the new Harbor Yard Amphitheater took place this morning after phase one of three is complete. Design one was design, structural engineering, final drawings and permitting. The new structure is expected to be twelve stories or one hundred and twenty feet tall, almost as tall as the People's Bank Tower down the street on Main Street. Phase two will be demolition, site work and footings put in place. State three will spend $15 million with 258 construction jobs. Jim Koplik of Live Nation Connecticut promises great talent to visit the amphitheater, Koplik also runs the Xfinity Center in Hartford. #Bridgpeort CT--This morning, detectives from the Fugitive Task Force arrested(DOB: 07/21/1987 of 114 Asylum St) for the May 24, 2018 shooting death of Willie Nance. Ragin is charged with Manslaughter in the First Degree, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, Use of a Firearm for A,B,C Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
