Westport News: Suspicious Person

Westport, CT-- On March 6, 2018 at approximately 3:15pm, a juvenile female was approached by a suspicious male and female on Marion Road. The juvenile reported she just got off the bus from Coleytown Middle School, when an older black 4 door vehicle with a loud muffler drove towards her. The operator asked the juvenile if she needed a ride. The juvenile replied no and continued walking to a house nearby where she called her parents. The operator is described as a Hispanic male with dreadlocks and a goatee, age 20 to 30 years old with a deep voice. Fairfield News: 2 Parked Cars Hit

Fairfield Police UPDATE:  Ramona Lopez (DOB 03/05/1978) of Fairfield, was issued a Misdemeanor Summons and charged with DUI, and Failure to Drive Right, after she was involved in a motor vehicle collision and subsequently failed the standardized field sobriety tests. Officers responded to the intersection of Grasmere Avenue and Longview Avenue for a three-car motor vehicle collision. Officers made contact with the sole occupant, Ramona Lopez, who was unaware she was involved in a collision. Officers observed Lopez to have slurred speech, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, and a difficult time balancing. Lopez subsequently failed to complete standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing.  At headquarters Lopez submitted to…

Bridgeport News: Another Partial Building Collapse

1:41pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to another partial building collapse downtown Main Street today.  The Corbit's Studio at 1149 Main Street at the corner of Elm Street was slated to be torn down. In 2017 the city of Bridgeport obtained a $125,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant from the Connecticut Metropolitan Council of Governments, or MetroCOG in 2017 to remove the asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, photo developer chemicals and other hazardous material in the former Corbit’s building.   A tulip museum is slated to take its place.   If you look above the windows on the second floor you can see a large crack and the wall bowing out.  Another set of cracking with bowing not as pronounced can be seen below the windows…

Norwalk News: Another Murder Arrest

#Norwalk CT--On March 9, 2018 members of the Detective Bureau arrested Jermaine Scott for the murder of Johnny Lezeau. The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Detective Bureau into the murder of Mr. Lezeau, which occurred on July 20, 2017 on Ely Ave. The warrant has been sealed, so no additional information will be released at this time.
