5:50pm UPDATE: The cops got them and recovered the firearm!
5:40pm– #Bridgeport CT– A seven-year-old boy said he was robbed at gunpoint by two males who took his bicycles at East Main and Pennsylvania Avenue and then fled riding down East Main Street.
#Bridgeport CT–This morning, detectives arrested Anthony Reeves, 34 of 555 Trumbull Avenue in connection with the June 7th, 2017 homicide of Jason Nieves. Reeves allegedly shot Nieves twice while they were in a stolen car at the corner of Houston Ave and Dodd Ave. Nieves’ body remained in the car for several hours until Reeves returned with Larry Tinsley and they set the car and Nieves on fire. Reeves is charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Arson in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, and Larceny in the Third Degree. He is being held on a $1,000,000 bond. Thank you to all the officers and detectives that worked on this case, which was led by Detective Martin Heanue.
3:51pm–#Fairfield CT– Police are investigating a crash between a car and motorcycle at North Benson Road and Post Road. The motorcyclist was injured and unconscious for a period of time.
2:02pm–#Stratford CT– Stratford emergeny communications was flooded with 911 calls for shots fired in the Kenyon/Marina/Carrol/Albright area. Police are going door to door trying to get more info and checking the area. They believe the area is confined to the Meadowbrook/Albright area. So far no one or anything report hit.

10:07am–#Fairfield CT– A four-year-old girl was found wandering on Villa Avenue this morning. Lieutenant Robert Kalamaras said the girl lived in the area. Her 19-year-old sister was providing care was sleeping. He said the four-year-old dressed herself, then managed to unlock the deadbolt and wander outside. A man found the girl but he was late for work so he turned her over to a mail carrier in front of 585 Villa Avenue. The mail carrier called police and the police were able to piece together who the girl was and where she lived. Kalamaras said it was accidental and no charges are pending.

Bridgeport Police Press Release: About 10:30 pm last night we received reports of a domestic incident at 158 Beechwood Ave that led to a structure fire. Crews responded to a structure fire at 158 Beechwood Avenue last night, occupants on the first floor heard the smoke detector going off on the 3rd floor and exited the building. that’s when they saw smoke coming from the 3rd floor, all occupants were out on arrival of firefighters. one person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, the second floor was vacant, 4 engines 2 ladders, 1 safety officer, and assistant chief responded, red Cross notified, 8 people were displaced, and this fire is under investigation. The fire was contained to the third floor of the building.
11:47pm–#Fairfield CT– Witnesses told me there was an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend when she allegedly ran over him with her car in front of 25 Beacon View Drive. It is unknown the extent of the man’s injuries. The man can be seen under the car in the photo.
10:10pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police were on a call on Beechwood Avenue when they noticed smoke near the intersection of Beechwood Avenue and Norman Street and radioed the Emergency Communication Center. They then made sure everyone got out of the home at 158 Beechwood Avenue. There was heavy fire on the second and third floors. Firefighters made entry into the apartments and reported everyone had safely made it out. Within fifteen minutes firefighters had the bulk of the fire out. There were no reported injuries but I did see EMS checking a few residents to make sure they were okay. The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
9:41pm–#Bridgeport CT– Two teens about 15-16 years of age, on bicycles knocked over a man walking in the 400 block of Noble Avenue. They took his wallet and fled on the bikes.
