Mayor Ganim Declares Snow emergency in Bridgeport – Parking Ban in Effect

No Parking on Snow Emergency Routes; Parking on All City Streets Limited to Odd Side of the Street Until Further Notice   #Bridgeport, Connecticut – Mayor Joe Ganim today declared a snow emergency for Bridgeport as updated forecasts are calling for up to eight inches of snow expected to impact the region between mid-day and tonight.  As part of the snow emergency, parking is banned on all snow emergency routes in Bridgeport and is restricted to odd side of the street parking on all city streets until further notice to make a clear lane for city snow plows.  Vehicles parked in violation of the ban can be towed and owners can face a fine of $100.  A full list of snow emergency streets is…

Fairfield News: Bar Fight

UPDATE: Here is the suspect in the bar  fight we reported when it was happening.   Connor O’Sullivan, 19, of Burr Street, was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace outside Anna Liffey’s on the Post Road, police said.  A police officer was called to a fight in progress reported that he saw O’Sullivan repeatedly kick the victim.   1:55am--#Fairfield Connecticut-- An alleged fight at Anna Liffey's Irish Pub and Restaurant at 1494 Post Road nets one patron a broken nose according to radio reports.     This news report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: Domestic Dispute Turns Crime Scene

State Senator Duff Calls For DMV To Replace AAA

#Norwalk, CT – Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (D-Norwalk) today urged Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Michael Bzdyra to quickly find a new private vendor to perform driver’s license renewal services previously provided by AAA Northeast.
