An officer on patrol and saw the car flee at a high rate of speed and pursued him only to get a plate number then broke the pursuit off. The driver then fled north on North Benson Road and attempted to hide in a yard on Mailands Road until the homeowner approached him and scared him off. #Fairfield CT--I met with Fairfield's First Selectman Tetreau and asked him about any progress on General Electric's threat to move out of the state. General Electric is Fairfield's largest taxpayer and contributes about 3,500 jobs to the local economy. First Selectman Tetreau said right now his goal is to work with GE and the governor's office to make sure dialogue continues and that GE's viewpoints are heard by the governor and his staff.
