Fairfield News: Crazy Hit and Run

2:02pm--#Fairfield CT--A man hit an SUV on North Benson Road near Fairfield University and fled.  An officer on patrol and saw the car flee at a high rate of speed and pursued him only to get a plate number then broke the pursuit off.  The driver then fled north on North Benson Road and attempted to hide in a yard on Mailands Road until the homeowner approached him and scared him off.  Police feel confident they will make an arrest since they have a valid plate number.   Un hombre golpeó un todoterreno en Norte Benson Road, cerca de la Universidad de Fairfield y huyó. Bridgeport News: 9 People Shot 1 Killed

VIDEO REPORT:  UPDATE: Bridgeport police say 9 people were shot and one of them was killed around 1am in an ambush-style attack involving multiple shooters. Multiple sources say the victims were hanging out together when at least two people armed with guns came through Sunshine Circle and opened fire.3 of the victims were adult females; six were adult males, including the person who was killed. Fairfield News: First Selectman GE Update

#Fairfield CT--I met with Fairfield's First Selectman Tetreau and asked him about any progress  on General Electric's threat to move out of the state.  General Electric is Fairfield's largest taxpayer and contributes about 3,500 jobs to the local economy.   First Selectman Tetreau said right now his goal is to work with GE and the governor's office to make sure dialogue continues and that GE's viewpoints are heard by the governor and his staff.  Tetreau said bringing up last minute rhetoric in the eleventh hour without being vetted by the assembly without doing an economic impact analysis.  I asked if he is nervous and he said "No not as long as people keep  talking, and are reasonable people, I think…
