8:44pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police on patrol stopped citizens on scene at Wood and Linwood Avenue where a woman thrown from a 2002 Dodge Caravan heading towards North Avenue. The woman is unconscious lying next to a tree. UPDATE: An alert police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description and has the responsible person in custody near Iranistan Avenue.

#Fairfield CT–#FairfieldU–Fairfield University continues to dominate all other universities this week scoring their second score within the hour, first with an alleged intoxicated male at Jogues Hall. EMS got a two’fer with a hypertensive person in the same room but did not credit with a score on that one. They followed up with an alleged intoxicated 18 year old female in Gonzaga Hall just now taking the early 2-0 lead. 12:37am– UPDATE: 3-0 Fairfield U 19 year old female allegedly intoxicated in the 8 block of the townhouses.
1:00am–Several reports of fighting between Sacred Heart students fighting at Maybrook and Old Town Road. I’m not sure how to score this one…….
1:05pm–#SacredHeartU gets on the scoreboard with an alleged intoxicated 19 year old male in the south parking lot.
UPDATE: jjust before 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of an injured person in front of 83 Seeley Street When they arrived, they found the victim, Ivan Rodriguez Mendez, 51, lying in the road in a large pool of blood. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to witnesses, the victim had gotten into an altercation with one or more individuals. One suspect is reported to have had a knife and several shots were fired during the incident. At this time, investigators have not determined if the victim was shot or stabbed. His cause of death will be determined at the autopsy which is scheduled for Monday. Anyone with information should contact Detective Heitor Teixeira at 203-581-5256
9:30pm–#Bridgeport CT–Three shots rang out according to neighbors, two men are shot, one killed in the Went Park area tonight. One man arrived at St. Vincent’s Hospital by private car and the city’s 10th homicide lay on Seeley Street. This is breaking news with very little details at this time. You know as soon as I get further information I’ll let you know.
10:10pm–#Bridgeport CT– Tonight’s car fire is a truck at Union and Connecticut Avenue. Fire was in the engine compartment and firefighters knocked it down pretty quickly. UPDATE: This was set by kids in the area and now they are tearing up things at the post office according to radio reports.
