2:22pm--#Fairfield CT--Police were called to Villa Avenue near the Dunkin' Doughnuts where a contractor said two young males with backpacks attempted to steal tools off his truck. Police tracked the two to the Bridgeport town line near Mason Street. Also found on them were 3 packs of Duracell AAA and two packs AA batteries with no receipt. Police from both departments are now meeting at the Staples Plaza, unknown if they suspect the shoplifting of batteries from there as they are still investigating. 12:42pm--#Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police were called to North Strafield School at 190 Putting Green Road for a Hispanic male who was on school property talking on his cellphone. The students outside were brought inside. The custodian approached the man and asked him to leave and he did. The man said he was working at a construction site down the road. After investigating police told radio dispatch to call Mrs. Jackson the principal at the school that everything was ok. Should I have reported this? It is really a non-story but parents get upset not knowing. Bridgeport Police Arrest 2nd Suspect in Homicide

#Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 14, 2014 – Police apprehended a second suspect in connection with an Aug. 10shooting that killed a 21-year-old man. The 17-year-old suspect was apprehended yesterday by School Resource Officer Jonathan Forestier at Lakeview Cemetery. He was charged with murder and other charges and is believed to be the gunman who shot Ryan Hernandez during a confrontation at Park Avenue and Olive Street. The teen made arrangements to turn himself in to Forestier. Detectives Robert Winkler and Ada Curet investigated the case. The investigation and video footage from the scene showed at least two males arriving at the location in a car and showed the victim approaching the vehicle. The 17-year-old exited the car and the confrontation ensued between him and Hernandez.…
