(Bridgeport, CT – June 30, 2014) – A city man was detained by two females who caught him rifling through a purse in the back seat of a car Sunday. Officer Matthew Goncalves was dispatched to the 700 block of South Avenue just after 10 p.m. and was flagged down by a two women, who reported they had found a male inside one of their vehicles going through a handbag. GOV. MALLOY:  ‘KATIE BECKETT’ WAIVER PROGRAM TO SERVE 100 MORE MEDICALLY FRAGILE CHILDREN  

  (Hartford, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Felon Arrested on Gun Charges

A city man faces gun charges after a motor vehicle stop Thursday evening. Just after 7 p.m.,  Officer Paul Scillia attempted to pull over a vehicle on Fairfield Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. Before the motorist stopped, Scillia observed him making furtive movements in his  car. Scillia and Officers Adam Roscoe and Ivan Delgado spoke with the occupants and they stepped out of the vehicle. Police recovered a stolen handgun from the vehicle that the driver, Stephen Goins, 33, of Bridgeport, stated belonged to him. The passenger, his mother, was not charged.
