Six firefighters were promoted and a class of nine new fire recruits were sworn in by Mayor Bill Finch Thursday evening at the City Hall chambers those promoted were: Assistant Chief Harold Clarke, a 27-year veteran; Assistant Chief James Cook, a 27-year veteran; Lts. Bridgeport Police Arrest Man Who Fled Police
Here is ANOTHER story we reported to you LIVE as it was happening: #Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 20, 2014 – A Stamford man was arrested Monday night after fleeing police. Officer Mark Martocchio attempted to pull over a vehicle on North Avenue but the driver sped off. He lost sight of the car but witnesses, as the officer passed, indicated that the motorist had entered Route 8/25 southbound. Martocchio followed at a distance and called in locations to dispatchers. The suspect exited Interstate 95 on East Main Street. He later jumped out of the car and ran into an apartment in Marina Village. Lt.
