6:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to Went Park for shots fired. They arrived but found no victim. After investigating they found shell casings and blood splattered on a car at Cottage and Norman Street. A short time later a person showed up at St. Vincent's with a gunshot wound. The victim was robbed of his bicycle. Police are looking for a black male wearing black shorts on the stolen bicycle, a red BMX with red spray paint on the handlebars. He fled towards Wording Avenue. UPDATED: 4:40am--#Bridgeport CT-- A pedestrian was hit at Park Avenue and Vine Street. A white Accura fled the scene. Police are asking the EMTs to "step it up". UPDATE from Police Spokesman: A 22-year-old man was in critical condition after a hit-and- run accident early this morning.The crash was reported at about 4:39 a.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Vine Street.The victim, a pedestrian, suffered what were described as potentially life-threatening injuries.The department's serious accident investigation team responded.Investigators learned that the victim was crossing the street when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. Based on witness accounts, the vehicle accelerated through the intersection as the traffic signal changed and struck the victim. The driver applied the brakes after the impact.…

Bridgeport News: Dogs Die in Fire

Just before 8:30 fire broke out in the kitchen are of 112 Chalmers Avenue (off Park Avenue) Everyone safely made it out of the home but we are told a mother dog and four of her puppies perished in the fire. One puppy did make it out safely. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire out and spend most of their time checking to make sure the fire was out and did not extend behind walls and eves of the structure. No firefighters were injured. Bridgeport News: Fatal Motorcycle Crash Closes Route 8/25 Northbound

10:48pm--#cttraffic--#Bridgeport CT--A motorcyclist has lost his life in a crash on Route 8/25 northbound. The accident investigation team will have the highway shutdown for an extended period of time. There is no information on who the victim . The victims body and motorcycle were at least one hundred feet from one another. A woman closer to the motorcycle could be seen crying hysterically. Local streets in Bridgeport near the scene are really jammed with traffic especially on Golden Hill and Washington Avenue area.
