11:29am--#Fairfield CT-- 2 bunnies were rescued in a fire at 464 Knapps Highway this morning.  A fire in the dryer located in the basement spread smoke in the basement and first floor.  Firefighters quickly had the fire contained and rescued two bunnies that were near the dryer when the fire started.  A cat was still missing but was expected to be located when I left.  Firefighters ventilated the building and were on scene for about an hour afterwards. 2 conejos fueron rescatados de un incendio en 464 Knapps Highway esta mañana. 12:11am--#Westport CT-- Firefighters had to wait for UI before proceeding with an on again off again fire at 128 Bayberry Lane.  Once UI turned off the power firefighters were able to proceed, methodically and cautiously to the interior of the home.  Firefighters quickly had the situation under control.  Fairfield Fire Department provided mutual to cover the empty fire house and provided a rapid intervention team at the scene.
