(Bridgeport, CT -- May 23, 2014) – A 26-year-old man faces assault charges after cutting an acquaintance after a dispute over a messy kitchen. Officer Stavros Mirtsopoulos was dispatched to 187 Eaton St. at 5 p.m. Thursday on an assault report. He spoke to the victim, Fabricio De Almedia, 28, who stated the he was cleaning the house in anticipation of weekend guests when the suspect, Anderson Ferreira, another resident, came into the kitchen and began making a mess. The confrontation escalated and Ferreira grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill the victim. During a physical struggle, the victim was cut in the hand. The suspect then threw chairs around the kitchen. Ferreira had left before police arrived but police located him…

(Bridgeport, CT -- May 23, 2014) – A Subway restaurant on East Main Street was robbed Thursday night. Officer John Topolski responded to the business at 926 E. Main St. just before 10:30 p.m. He spoke to employees, who informed him that an armed male wearing a mask and all black clothing entered the store and demanded money from the register. The victim then fled with a small amount of cash. Detectives Michael Fiumidinisi and Kenneth McKenna are investigating.
