6:40pm–#Bridgeport CT #ctfire–Firefighters extinguish a fire on the back porch at2 Greenhouse Road. A bucket with cigarette started the blaze.

Just after 3am Monday morning firefighters were called to 175 Hanford Avenue for a structure fire. Firefighters arriving on scene reported heavy fire from the back of the structure and concerns to the building to the left of the house catching fire due to the heat and fire. Additional alarms were called in including a evacuation tone which caused firefighters to evacuated the building and take a defensive approach to the fire. It was about an hour before fighters were able to shift from a defensive mode to an offensive mode and take control to the fire. I spoke many EMS heroes and they said no one was injured in the fire. #Bridgeport CT #ctfire–Fire rips through home on Hanford Street home in Bridgeport tonight.  Evacuation tone was sounded for firefighters to evacuate.  It took almost an hour for firefighter to get control of the fire to go from defensive to offensive mode to fight the fire.  NO injuries reported to firefighters or those in the building.  I’ll have a full video report shortly.  *CT  MEDIA** You may use this image provide the watermark remains in the image at all times.

 

2:56pm–#Bridgeport CT–Wake up Black Rock.  A report of a structure fire at 78 Hanford Avenue.  Firefighters and EMS on the way.  Fairfield Avenue is closed at Commerce Drive and Pine Street.  Firefighters on scene with fire visible.  Firefighters are laying in.

9:56pm–#Norwalk CT–Firefighters on scene at an apartment complex on Main Avenue with an on going obnoxious odor issue from a tenant.  Police on the way.

6:26pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of a kitchen fire at 256 Cottage Street on the second floor.  Plan B call for pizza at Fire Engine Pizza at  2914 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport then Marsillio’s Appliance on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfied for pricing better than the big box stores!   Turns out be a faulty electrical cord behind the stove.

2:41pm–2352  of Barnum Avenue odor of natural gas on the 3rd floor, police on scene.  Here come a bunch of firetrucks!

2:11pm—#Stratford CT #ctfire–Firefighters are battling a large brush fire on Pine Tree Trail (near Shelton border).
