3 Juveniles Arrested for Assault

On 7-21-22, a 16-year-old male juvenile and two 17-year-old male juveniles turned themselves into police based on arrest warrants. One 17-year-old juvenile was charged with Assault 2 nd Degree and Breach of Peace 2 nd Degree. He was released after being processed and posting a $25,000 court-set bond. The other two juveniles were both charged with Assault 3 rd Degree and Breach of Peace 2 nd Degree, processed, and released. All three were given a juvenile court date of 8-3-22. None of the three arrested are Shelton residents.The arrests stem from an altercation that took place on 5-14-22 outside a residence onLazy Brook Rd in Shelton. Milford News: Domestic Violence Complaint Leads To Multiple Charges

#Milford CT--On July 11, 2022, Milford Police responded to a domestic violence complaint. The victim stated that their boyfriend was upset and sending threatening text messages to them. They went to speak to Gustave Curcio and began to argue. He punched them twice in the face causing their nose to bleed. They wanted to get out of the vehicle, but he would not stop the car and let them out. After an investigation, Curcio was taken into custody and charged accordingly. Department of Consumer Protection May Fine Up to $1,000 Per Day Against Manufacturers Who Fail to Comply with Lemon Law Arbitration Decisions(Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong announced today that Jaguar Land Rover of North America will pay $26,500 for the company’s failure to comply with Connecticut’s Lemon Law.Connecticut’s Automobile Warranty statute, commonly called the Lemon Law, helps owners of defective vehicles under 2 years old or with fewer than 24,000 miles. an Excessive Heat Warning in response to National Weather Service reports of high pressure, sunshine, and southwest winds expected to raise temperatures into the 90’s with heat indices near 100 in the City of Bridgeport. The Excessive Heat Warning will remain in effect from Tuesday, July 19th until, July 22nd at 7:00pm. Excessive heat index values will occur between 1:00pm and 6:00pm each day. Extreme heat can cause illness and death among at-risk population who cannot stay cool. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
