#Bridgeport News: In view of the continued gun violence in the area of Park Avenue and Vine Street, the Bridgeport Police Department (BPD) Narcotics and Vice Division conducted a criminal investigation at the Scotch Bonnett Studio located at 22 Vine Street. Narcotics and Vice Officers were able to secure a search warrant for the business, its gated parking area, and all motor vehicles positioned within said parking area where narcotics and marijuana transactions were occurring. On July 23, 2022 at approximately 8:00 PM the BPD Emergency Services Unit and Narcotics & Vice Division served the search warrant assisted by members of the BPD Patrol Division. Westport firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire on Island Way. Theinitial dispatch was four Engines, one Rescue company, and the Shift Commander. Amutual aid Truck company from Norwalk also responded.Companies arrived and reported an exterior deck fire on the 2nd floor with an extension intothe wall and mechanical room of the house. A hose line was deployed from Engine 4 andthe fire was quickly extinguished. Arriving companies provided salvage, overhaul, andventilation. The fire was contained to the area of origin and is being investigated by the Westport FireMarshal’s office. (Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong today announced a $1.8 million settlement with Eversource over alleged false and deceptive high-pressure tactics seeking to entice consumers to convert to natural gas. “Eversource misled homeowners to get them to switch to natural gas. These high-pressure tactics are unacceptable coming from any business, much less a regulated utility. Eversource has already paid a $1.8 million civil penalty imposed by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), and now they will pay an additional $1.8 million to settle these serious consumer protection allegations,” said Attorney General Tong. 2022-07-24@5:52pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to 175 Bretton Street at the Bretton Arms Apartments for a fire in one of the apartments on the 2nd floor. Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to one of the units. There were no reported injuries.

Most police departments will give a report the next day when asked but every time I reach out to Bridgeport I get "a warrant was served". A number of people told me vice was there. A vehicle was also towed from the premise.
