2021-10-09@10:30AMish--#Fairfield CT-- 5 people were rescued after a boat they were on began sinking . 3 were immediately rescued and rescuers searched for the other 2 who were eventually found. All 5 were wearing life jackets which helped prevent this from being tragedy. The police boat was challenged towing the boat back to shore because it kept taking on water.
#STRATFORD - Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced today that the Town of Stratford won a $43,000 grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Policing Services (COPS) to support the training of all sworn officers of the Stratford Police Department to build on their proficiency in de-escalation of potentially volatile situations while serving the community. Stratford is one of only two municipalities in Connecticut to win funding for De-Escalation Training in the COPS 2021 competitive grant program, and it comes in response to an application from the Town earlier this year. A priority of the De-Escalation Training is to use new updated research, training and tactics in the field to help officers reduce use-of-force incidents and injuries. Said Mayor…

#Bridgeport CT-- In an exchange of e-mails regarding "Calls of Significance" and procedures Director of Emergency Communications Scott Appley said "I am asking you to maintain some professionalism when emailing me if this continues we will have it investigated as harassment " . In previous e-mails I asked why we have to pursue calls when we don't have to with other towns. In part of his reply he said calls of significance is posted to social media which I showed him and you that is not the case. He then said he added us to Veoci Media reports which are usually hit and run calls. I've pursed why assualt with deadly weapon calls are rarely posted and there are various excuses…
