MV Fatal Accident

#Shelton CT--On 08/20/2021 at approximately 7:00 PM, Shelton Police, Shelton Fire and EMS weredispatched to the area of 137 Meadow St for an accident involving a vehicle and amotorcycle. The preliminary investigation by police revealed that the driver of themotorcycle was traveling on the Meadow St headed southbound towards Shelton Ave andthe driver of the vehicle was traveling on Meadow St headed northbound.The operator of the motorcycle, 43 year old Robert Kimmer of Shelton, was transportedto the hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The operator of the vehicle, 34 yearold Andrew Zebendon of Shelton, did not claim any injuries.The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team is currently investigating thisaccident. Bridgeport News: Firearm Recovery

#Bridgeport CT-- On August 19, 2021 at approximately 1:07 pm the Bridgeport Police Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) responded to the intersection of Arctic Street and Pembroke Street on a report of a person in that area with a firearm.  Upon officers arrival the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Kevin Despres of Middletown Connecticut, observed the police vehicles and immediately began to run away from them unsolicited. Officers engaged the suspect in foot pursuit and observed Despres grabbing at his waist band. Despres then pulled a handgun from his waistband.  As Despres was running away, he tripped and fell to the ground allowing the police officers to catch up to him and take him into custody without further incident.  A loaded .22 caliber pistol was recovered. 2021-08-20 #Bridgeport CT-- Two more officers are leaving the Bridgeport Police Department. Officer Robert Roj is taking his experience to Easton and Steven Caldwell to Greenwich. This makes five to leave the force this week. However, I'm told by multiple source that some of these officers were suppose to leave in July but their paperwork was purposefully delayed to delay the inevitable.
