Criminal Attempt Assault in the 1st Degree Arrest
On August 31, 2021 at approximately 11:44 am Bridgeport Police responded to the 100 block of Park Street on the report of shots fired - automatic gunfire. Upon arrival, Officers observed an abundance of shell casings with vehicles and a residence struck by gunfire. The Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center provided police officers with a description of the suspects and a description of the vehicle utilized in the shooting. The Bridgeport Police Patrol Division and Detective Bureau responded to the scene. The suspect vehicle, a dark blue 2007 BMW X5, was observed in the area of the East Washington Avenue bridge. (Hartford, CT) — Attorney General William Tong today called on the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) to significantly reduce Eversource’s rates. Following the passage of the Take Back Our Grid Act last year, PURA opened a rate review proceeding and is evaluating electric companies’ rates to see if an interim rate reduction is appropriate. On July 13, 2021, at approximately 12:20 p.m., a Westport Police officer responded tothe Saugatuck Rowing Club, 521 Riverside Avenue, on a report of a larceny that occurred in lateJune. An employee stated that as he was reviewing security footage from June 26, 2021, heobserved an individual go to two different rowing shells and allegedly steal GPS device fromeach one. The complainant said that the purported suspect is a former member of the rowingclub who he identified as Peter Derow. Mr. Derow was interviewed regarding this matter, andreportedly admitted to the officer that he stole the devices. On Monday, 8/30/2021, Norwalk Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Arbor Drive onthe report of possible shots fired. Officers located several shell casings in the area.
