WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3: Town of Fairfield’s 30th Annual Holocaust Commemoration: an educational, uplifting and thoughtful evening of remembrance, with former local resident and retired educator Bob Gillette, who authored the Virginia Plan, a true story of rescue. Former Chief of Police for the town of Fairfield recently changed his LinkedIn status to police officer in the town of Bridgewater Connecticut. I message him and he confirmed it. Bridgewater is a small community of about 1,800 residents according to the 2000 census and is the last dry town in the state. Bridgewater is served by one resident state police officer and two other town police officers. David Peck was the chief in Fairfield from August 2006 to May 2010 when he retired. He often drove the town's senior citizen's bus, a constable for Fairfield and consultant Vigilant Resources International in New York. 9:40pm--#Faifield CT--Police are investigating was appears to be a State snowplow hitting two cars at 2104 Easton Turnpike (near Churchill Road). Officer on scene radioed dispatch to call the residents to come to see their cars when they did come to the door.
The RTM overwhelmingly passed a 3 year contract for the police union. The officers worked 3 years without a contract.
