Norwalk News: February Officers Of The Month
Officer Tyrone Boyd and Officer Shoubert Paulemon were named the February 2017 Norwalk Police Department Officers of the Month. Officers Boyd and Paulemon responded to a residence for a suicidal person call. Upon their arrival, they found a very distraught person holding a knife to their throat and threatening suicide. These officers calmly talked to the person and got her/him to put the knife down. The individual was transported to the hospital for evaluation. This person recently sent a letter to Chief Kulhawik thanking the officers for saving her/his life. These officers’ actions in diffusing a dangerous situation speak to their professionalism and character. Congratulations to you both.

Norwalk News: Wanted Person
#Norwalk News: The Norwalk Department of Police Service currently holds (4) arrest warrants for Rashel Williams, date of birth May 25, 1981. The warrants charged Williams with larceny, ID theft, credit card fraud and forgery. Recently Williams worked at a local doctor’s office as a receptionist. During this time, she stole the credit card numbers and check information of patients. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Cisero at 203-854- 3034 or dcisero@norwalkct.org. I-95 Tractor Trailer Jackkinfe
2:02pm–#cttraffic–#Norwalk Connecticut–A jackknifed tractor trailer I-95 southbound near exit 15.
Fire in Norwalk now out.
3:27pm-#Norwalk CT– Report of a structure fire at 75 Ceder Street. There was a heater tank on fire, it was blasted with a fire extinguisher, and it is now out.

2:11am–#Norwalk CT–Tonight’s car fire is 2 cars that now has the 2 car garage fully involved in flames at 532 Flax Hill Road. Firefighters are laying in.

2:46pm–#Norwalk CT– Report of a smoking bush on Dry Hill Road. No report on what it’s smoking. Firefighters on the way.
Norwalk Crash, car flies off the Merritt
10:39pm–#Norwalk CT–#cttraffic–First responders on the way to Creeping Hemlock Drive for a car that reportedly flew off the Merritt Parkway and rolled over onto Creeping Hemlock Road that runs near the highway.
Smoke in a business
11:45pm–#Norwalk CT–Firefighters are on scene at 208 East Avenue, Room To Grow for smoke in the building. Additional firefighters being dispatched for the investigation.
Laundromat fire
10:11pm–#Norwalk CT–Firefighters battle a ceiling fire in the laundromat at 171 Main Street. The fire was caused by a commercial grade dryer. Firefighters kept it from extending elsewhere.
