Motorcyclist Injured In Crash-Bridgeport

Just before midnight Saturday night a motorcycle collided with a car on Main Street at the corner of Goodsell Street.  Witnesses tell us the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed.  Not a lot of information is available since police have just begun their investigation.  Of course if we get any further information we will pass it on.

2 Kids On A Bike Hit By SUV In Bridgeport

Two children were hit by a sports utility vehicle on Central Avenue at the corner of Barnum Ave. Friday night just after 8pm. Connecticut Post is reporting one of the children suffered possible life threatening injuries. Witnesses we spoke to on scene confirmed that one of he children did not appear to be breathing for a while, but after they prayed for him he began breathing and responded when they told him not to move. All witnesses we spoke to said the driver fled the scene claiming he was chasing the vehicle that hit the children. Armed Robbery at Fairfield Tanning Salon

Just before 7:45pm Friday night Fairfield Police were called to an armed robbery at Sahara Tanning located at 173 Post Road. A white male, about 6 feet tall, blond hair displayed a silver handgun. The description of the suspect at the armed robbery at Adams Bakery is the same including the gray four door Nissan getaway car. The employee locked herself in a room so she could not help in knowing the direction of travel he fled. Fairfield Police immediately notified Bridgeport Police of the robbery. Motor Vehicle Crash involving a Scooter

      (Westport, Connecticut) Friday evening at approximately 5:43 P.M. the Westport Police, EMS and Fire Department responded to a report that an operator driving a scooter had collided with a motor vehicle in the area of Post Road East at Imperial Avenue. Arriving emergency units located the victim lying in the street and began medical treatment.  The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital by Westport EMS. A preliminary investigation into the crash found that the scooter operator was driving eastbound on Post Road East. Wilton man charged with killing father Chilling 911 tapes released

WILTON -- A 22-year-old Wilton man who told police he was hearing voices, was arraigned in Norwalk Friday morning for the alleged murder of his 73-year-old father. Aaron Ramsey of 125 Signal Hill Road allegedly punched, kicked and stabbed his father, Edward Ramsey Thursday afternoon before running through the woods to escape from aliens, he told police.    Read full report and listen to the tape........

Staten Island Wants To Outlaw Tattoos, Piercings For Pets

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Calling the practice "odd" and nothing more than "animal cruelty," Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis has introduced legislation that would establish a misdemeanor charge for owners who subject pets to piercings, tattoos and certain other cosmetic surgeries.  Malliotakis (R-East Shore/Brooklyn) says she was driven to address the practice after viewing "Pet Crazy," a documentary about such behavior on "20/20." "I was sickened after seeing the images of dogs with tattoos and piercings through their eyebrows and noses. While the psychological effects on these animals is an area of debate, the fact remains that most of these procedures require an application of general anesthesia which poses a health risk in itself," said Malliotakis in a press release. Last night Bridgeport Police made three arrests in the Garfield Avenue area.    These three (3) individuals are the reason of the increase of armed robberies in the area of Madison Ave. and Wayne St. area.  Members of the departments  Violent Crime Initiative Unit that consist of uniformed officers under the supervisor of Sergeants Ronald Mercado and Bradford Seely obtained  information as it was broadcast and converged on the area with their officers and where able to capture the suspects at various locations within the immediate area of the robbery. DEA Jails and Forgets Man For 5 Days- No Food or Water

Daniel Chong, the UC San Diego student who was left in a Drug Enforcement Administration holding cell for nearly five days, said the time spent there was a life-altering experience.
