Dear Eneida is a new feature I’m starting on DongItLocal.com to help educate citizens on their rights as citizens.  Newly elected City Council Member of Bridgeport, she has tried to silence us on our reporting because of an image we posted on a public street she did not like.  This is your elected official Bridgeport, she does not know her U.S. Constitution even though she swore to uphold it in her oath of office.

From the very liberal American Civil Liberties Union website: ” Taking photographs of things that are plainly visible from public spaces is a constitutional right – and that includes federal buildings, transportation facilities, and police and other government officials carrying out their duties. ”

They also say: “When in public spaces where you are lawfully present you have the right to photograph anything that is in plain view. That includes pictures of federal buildings, transportation facilities, and police. Such photography is a form of public oversight over the government and is important in a free society”.

Eneida tried to suppress my ability to report to you.  Bridgeport, she is your newly elected official to the city council.  Bridgeport needs help in getting jobs to citizens, lowering taxes to those that pay. Do you have the time for “On The Job Training” on basic rights for an “activist”?

I will continue these features to educate you and the public officials on what your rights truly are.
