2:54pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Just before 3pm Saturday afternoon firefighters were called to rescue two people trapped in this one car crash on Bishop Avenue near Connecticut Avenue.

Witnesses told me the driver appeared to have lost control before sideswiping a white pickup truck. The car stopped after hitting this a utility pole leaving him in grave condition. There has been no word on the driver’s condition, the passenger was moving and able to talk but also had serious injuries.

Bishop Avenue has been the scene of a couple of serious crashes in the last couple of months.
