Westport News: Career Coach Returns

Westport, CT - Elaine Daignault, Director of the Department of Human Services announces the return of the American Job Center Southwest’s (formerly known as CTWorks) Career Coach at Westport Town Hall. On Thursday, April 12 the Coach will offer a class in Social Networking for Job Search from 10 a.m. – noon, and from 1 – 3 p.m. This course will focus on the increasing necessity for an online presence to be a credible employment candidate in the current hiring environment. Stratford News: Heroin Bust

#Stratford CT--For the past several months, the Stratford Police Narcotics Vice and Intelligence Unit has been conducting a Heroin Investigation within the Town Of Stratford. That During the investigation, Detectives developed a suspect, Garfield Howell D.O.B 01/28/1989 of Stratford as a Heroin Dealer. Detectives also discovered that Howell is a School Bus Driver for WE Transport. During Surveillance, Detectives observed Howell on several occasions, using the School Bus to purchase and deliver Heroin. Detectives from the Stratford Police Narcotics and Vice Unit along with Bridgeport Police Task Force Members executed a Search Warrant at 2318 Barnum Ave in Stratford. I-95 Crash

9:02pm--#cttraffic--#Milford CT-- A crash between a car and tractor-trailer on I-95 northbound at exit 40.  The car is on its roof.  There is also a propane tank in the back of the car but it is not leaking according to radio reports.  Avoid the area if you can.

Bridgeport News: Central HS Threat

12:20am--#Bridgeport CT-- Central High School's lockdown has been lifted according to police radio reports.  The only place to pick up your child is on Lincoln Boulevard.  Police spokesperson Av Harris said "there is no active shooter treat at Central High School.  Students were circulating a Snapchat photo around the school".  The student that was "possibly the suspect was immediately located and detained".  Pollice radio reports say that only Lincoln Boulevard is the place to pick up your child if you wish.  The area is congested with parked cars from parents.
