Westport News: RTM District Traffic and Safety Meetings Announced

Westport, CT - As was announced at the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) on February 4, the Selectman’s Office, in coordination with the Public Works and Police Departments, has scheduled a series of meetings with RTM districts to discuss some of the issues facing the Town in dealing with traffic, pedestrian and bicycle safety, and the steps the Town is taking with respect to those issues. Having these meetings will provide an opportunity for residents of each RTM district to talk about problems they are facing in their particular area and ask questions about possible solutions.  All members of the public are welcome. Connecticut Joins Other States In JUUL Investigation

Hartford, CT) -- Attorneys General from Connecticut, Florida, Nevada, Oregon, and Texas announced a bipartisan, multistate investigation into JUUL Labs. The 39-state multistate coalition is investigating JUUL’s marketing and sales practices, including the targeting of youth, claims regarding nicotine content, and statements regarding risks, safety and effectiveness as a smoking cessation device. “Connecticut’s investigation into JUUL is active and expanding. Bridgeport News: Structure Fire

2020-03-01@9:02pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters quick work prevented a fire on the first floor of a multi-family brownstone from spreading to other apartments in the 800 block of Park Avenue.  The fire appeared to be confined to the first-floor apartment on the left side.  The building was evacuated and there did not appear to be anyone reported injured.  Residents were seen outside with their children and pets.  The Red Cross was called to help in those displaced and the fire marshall was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.

Fairfield News: Masseur Exposes Himself

2020-02-29@ 3:20pm--#Fairfield CT-- The Fairfield Police Department received a  complaint of a sexual assault that occurred while a victim was getting a massage at Massage Envy, 2279 Black Rock Turnpike Fairfield. The victim reported that Terron Zaire Moorer, an employee at Massage Envy while performing a massage, exposed his genitals and made contact with the victim with his genitals. Moorer, who remained on scene, was interviewed by responding officers where he admitted to the offenses. Terron Zaire Moorer (DOB: 09/22/1997), of Wells Place in Stratford, was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault 4th Degree and Disorderly Conduct. Moorer was released after posting a $500 bond and scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on 03/09/2020.
