Should the community detect any mercaptan “gas odor” during the extraction outdoors, please be assured that it is not a gas leak and does not pose any bodily harm. There is no need to call 911. Trumbull Robbery Suspects Apprehended in Westport
On Sunday, August 18, 2024, shortly before 5:00pm, Westport officers were advised to be on the lookout for a black Infiniti occupied by three male suspects. This vehicle was reported to be involved in an armed robbery in Trumbull, CT during which a firearm was reported to have been displayed. The suspect vehicle was initially spotted and briefly pursued by the Trumbull Police Department. It was last seen southbound on Interstate 95 near Exit 23. Shortly thereafter, a Westport officer observed the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road. It continued toward Bridge Street where Westport officers successfully deployed stop sticks. Milford News: Milford Police Arrest Suspect in Storage Facility Burglary After Months-Long Investigation
Milford, CT – On May 6, 2024, Milford Police responded to CubeSmart Storage at 90 Rowe Avenue following a report of an active burglary. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple storage units had been broken into, with several broken locks scattered at the scene. The Detective Bureau immediately took over the investigation, with the Crime Scene Unit processing the area for evidence. Bridgeport News: Man Fatally Shot in Greene Homes Housing Community; Homicide Squad Investigating

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 45-year-old Bridgeport man in the hallway on the fifth floor. He was found lying down and appeared to have succumbed to fatal injuries. Medics quickly arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased. Patrol Officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB). The DB Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation. They are being assisted by Detectives from the Forensic Identification Unit. Milford News: Serious crash involving moped ends in death
On August 13, 2024, at approximately 2:06PM, the Milford Police Department Traffic Division was called to investigate a serious motor vehicle accident with life threatening injuries in the area of 1061 Boston Post Rd. A preliminary investigation reveals that a car was traveling east on Boston Post Rd when it was struck by an Asceno R2/50 moped. The operator of the moped was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The operator of the moped was identified as Brian McGrory, 65, of Milford.
