I-95 Crash
A crash on I-95 northbound near exit 28 for a car under a tractor-trailer.
Radio reports say they are shutting down the highway.
No Crash Just a Smashed Cellphone
First responders were called to North and Catherine Street for a iPhone crash alert. The didn’t find a crash but a broken cellphone in the road there. Police were called to take possession of the remains.

Firefighters on scene of a basement fire in the 1800 block of North Avenue. No reported injuries, The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

Tire Blows Up Injuring Employee
A tire technician was injured when a tire blew up on him at Town Fair Tires at 500 Kings Highway East according to radio reports. The man received an arm injury and transported to the hospital.

A Tale Of Two Boat Rescues
At approximately 3:33 PM today, a report was received about a large 200-foot yacht on fire in Long Island Sound. There were around 23 people on board. The Bridgeport Fire Department led the response, with support from Stratford and Fairfield Fire Departments, along with the Coast Guard.
The yacht safely returned to shore, and no injuries were reported.
Later, a canoe overturned in the Pequonnock River near East Washington Avenue. Firefighters rescued the man, but it is currently unknown if he sustained any injuries.

Route 8/25 Crash
A car crashed in the rocks on Route 8/25 southbound near exit 5 with injuries. There was extensive intrusion into the car and first responders were delayed extrication and care of the person(s) due to having to drive to Trumbull to turn around to go southbound. Bridgeport Fire Commissioner James Meszoros has been advocating the state for an emergency vehicle turnaround to prevent delays.

Stratford News: Tree Down!
Report of a tree down that took the primary power lines at the intersection of Nichols Ave and Greenfield Ave. A home was struck by the tree. Power is out in the area.
Fairfield News: Storm Watch!
We have lightning that struck a house at 43 Judd Street, and the fire is out at this time.
We also have a Telephone Pole down in front of Warde High School in Fairfield. First responders are saying the primary is down.
Beach Road is currently closed due to tree branches that are down.
