DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

On 09/10/16, Westport Officers were dispatched to the Westport Public Library on a report that a threatening message was found on a computer screen. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with library staff and a patron. The patron stated he attempted to log onto Facebook on a public computer and saw that a Lawrence Kozar did not log out of his account. The patron said he noticed a threatening post on Kozar’s main page, which was directed towards a Westport Police Officer. The threat indicated that a Westport Officer would be buried alive by Kozar. Kozar's Facebook account is not private and his posts can be viewed by anyone who has Facebook. Through the investigation, Kozar was positively identified as the individual using that specific computer at that time.…

Norwalk News: Attempted Gas Station Hold Up

8:38pm--#Norwalk Connecticut-- There was an attempted armed robbery at the Shell gas station at 391 Westport Avenue.  Police are looking for a "tan skinned" young male according to radio reports.  He was wearing a maroon sweater, gloves,  a red bandanna over his face and had a black handgun.  He will be upset as he did not get away with anything.   This news report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: Clown Mania Locks Out Bullard Havens School

11:23am--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Bullard Havens School on Palisades Avenue is on lock out due to "clown" threats.  Security personnel confirmed the lock out but did not say why.  Emails and texts went out to parents saying the school is on "lock out due to threats to several CT schools by an organization, the Clowns.  Anyone leaving/coming on campus will be checked by security and State PD".  No politicians were seen either.....

Malloy On Blocking Syrians

#HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P.
