His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport Structure Fire

At 04:28 this morning, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire with visible flames in the 1000th block of Fairfield Avenue. In response to these calls, the Bridgeport Fire Department, along with the Police and AMR, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the on-scene Fire Command reported a working fire situation, which was subsequently upgraded to a 2nd alarm. The fire was contained within a first-floor apartment. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. One of the occupants affected by the fire is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. Bridgeport UNREPORTED CRIME: Another Person Shot

If it weren't for our viewers reporting shots fired and sending in this crime scene photo this probably would have gone unreported. After asking for more information ALL the media received a press release. On September 12th, 2023, at 17:37 hours, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a ShotSpotter Activation alert in the vicinity of Park Street and Shelton Street. In response to this alert, the Bridgeport Police Department dispatched officers to the specified area. Upon arrival at the scene, officers reported the discovery of multiple shell casings at the intersection and proceeded to secure the area as a crime scene. Bridgeport News: Teen Homicide Investigation

#Bridgeport CT-- On September 9, 2023, at approximately 1:30 pm Bridgeport Police responded to report(s) of a party shot in the face in the 300 block of Pacific Street.  After arriving at the scene, Officers located a 16-year-old male inside the residence suffering from a single critical gunshot wound to his head.  The 16-year-old victim was quickly transported to an area hospital where he was admitted into the intensive care unit.  Due to the injuries reported on September 9, 2023, the Detective Bureau’s Homicide Squad took charge of the investigation.  They were assisted by Detectives from the Forensic Identification Unit.  The Detective Bureau processed a crime scene on Pacific Street, interviewed witness(es), collecting evidence, and notified the family.  The preliminary…

Bridgeport Homicides 19&20

On September 12, 2023, at approximately 2:45 am Bridgeport Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation within the 100 block of Carleton Avenue. ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection system. Once gunshots are fired in an area covered by this service, police receive a notification within one minute directing them to the location of the gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 21-year-old Ansonia man lying face down in the street in front of 30 Carleton Avenue. The victim appeared to be suffering from a critical gunshot wound(s). Medics arrived and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
