On 11-21-22 at approximately 7:30pm, Shelton Police were dispatched to Cleto’s Package Store, located at 402 Howe Ave, for a report of an armed robbery. It was reported that a white male approximately 40-50 years old entered the store and displayed an AR15-type rifle and demanded money. The male left the store with cash and items. Seymour Police responded to assist with a K9 track. Police and detectives were able to get video surveillance which identified the suspect’s vehicle. The information was sent to other law enforcement agencies. Police agencies including Derby and New Haven PD immediately contacted Shelton Police with more information based on the video surveillance. #Westport CT--At 3:02 today (11/22/2022), the Westport Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at Rocky Ridge Road. Upon arrival, a fire was observed on the front right corner of the house. Firefighters deployed a 1 ¾ inch hand line and quickly extinguished the fire. Westport Truck Company 1 found and extinguished the fire that extended to the interior of the second-floor bedroom. The power to the house was disconnected by the power company and the homeowner was working with an electrician to restore power. The homeowner was not displaced at the time of this report.

#Stratford CT-- On 11/21/2022 at approximately 730pm Officers responded to a report of shots fired near 372 Knowlton Street. Upon arrival Officers learned that a verbal altercation between two men turned violent ending with one of the men, Eugene Delevante age 44 of Stratford shooting the male victim. The victim’s car was also damaged as a result of the incident. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a leg injury and later released. The suspect, Neil was arrested and charged with the following; Criminal Procession of a Firearm, Ammunition or an Electronic Defense Weapon. (Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong announced he has opened an investigation under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act into Altice Optimum following nearly 500 consumer complaints regarding slow internet speeds, hidden fees, and unacceptable technical support. Many complaints to the Office of the Attorney General involved consumers who paid for either 300 Mbps or 400 Mbps cable internet plans. When consumers ran home speed tests, they discovered they were not receiving the speeds they paid for. The Office of the Attorney General also received complaints regarding service fees, technical support, and customer service.
