On March 10, 2022, at approximately 1930 hours, members of the Bridgeport RegionalAuto Theft Violent Crime Task Force were operating in the East End of the City, when Lieutenant Amato and Officer Jansy Rodriguez observed a blue Buick Century travelling at a high rate of speed, through the intersection of Wilmont Avenue and Stratford Avenue. Officers recognized this vehicle as being associated with Rafael REILLO, born 04/11/2000. He was previously observed by Task Force Officer(s) brandishing a firearm, while operating this vehicle. (HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to an updated weather forecast indicating that wind chill factors across Connecticut could be as low as zero degrees, he is directing the state’s severe cold weather protocol to be activated beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, and remaining in effect through noon on Sunday, March 13, 2022. The purpose of the protocol is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive protection from the severe cold conditions, which could be life threatening if exposed to the elements for extended periods of time.
