DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

The press seems to have the same thing on their mind today regarding the Bridgeport Police Department. Connecticut Post wrote an article today asking "Can Ganim staff talk to the press or is media policy too strict" ( I would link to it but it's hidden behind their pay wall). Westport News: Larceny

On November 9, 2021, a resident came to the Westport Police Department to report a possible larceny. The complainant stated that on August 13, 2020, he gave a $13,000.00 deposit to Joseph Esposito, Jr. to plant several trees on his property. The work was purportedly never performed and despite multiple requests the deposit was not returned to the complainant. The officer assigned to this case interviewed Mr. Esposito. Mr. Esposito said that his intention was to honor the contract and that he did take the $13,000.00 to enable him to purchase the trees from the nursery.
