Bridgeport, Ct – Oct 7, between approximately 5:30pm - 6:45pm, the Moore for Mayor campaign office at 360 Fairfield Avenue was broken into. Campaign staff discovered the break-in and called 911 last night. A Patrol officer was dispatched to the campaign office and took a statement. This break-in is not the first attempt to disrupt and scare this campaign. On August 30th at a Marilyn For Mayor campaign fundraiser with over 100 people in attendance, Bridgeport PD received an “anonymous” call claiming, “ two white men, armed and wearing masks,” had entered the fundraiser at Port 5. 2019-10-07@ 11: 45PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- Just before midnight the city's shot spotter activation went off reporting 6 shots and then 4 more shots at Maple and William Street. The bullets found two victims who were both conscious and and talking with paramedics. The extent of their injuries are not know at this time as it is still breaking news.
A Silver Alert has been issued for Sokombi Mwilambwe, who described as a 29 year-old, female who is 5’-5” tall, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black top with a gray sweater and black pants with a white bag and black suitcase. She was last seen on October 4, 2019, on Water Street in Norwalk. She suffers from mental health issues and is endangered. On October 2, 2019, a vintage Boeing B-17G, owned by the Collings Foundation (Collings), crashed at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut resulting in the loss of at least seven lives and multiple injuries.
